Product design for founder-led companies

First we figure out what
your product needs.
Then I design it myself.

Onboarding, activation, checkout, or wherever your product loses users and money.

SCROLL
The gap

I'm a product designer who works with founders at the point where design starts to matter.

Maybe the product is out with real users and something is holding it back. Maybe it's still just an idea on paper. Either way, nobody on the team truly owns design, and hiring a full-time design lead feels too early.

That's the gap I fill.

Ways to work together

Cheaper than an agency. Better than a freelancer. No headache from hiring.

Projects One-off, fixed scope
01

Product & UX Audit

€1,500
One week

For when users are leaving and you don't know why. Or when you don't know where to start or what your product actually needs.

You walk away with a 2–3 page written diagnosis and a ranked plan.

02

Landing Page Build

from €1,800

A landing page designed and built by me, end to end, live by a date you name.

You walk away with a working page by your date.

03

Design Sprint

from €3,000
Up to two weeks

One flow, say onboarding or checkout, designed end to end.

You walk away with the flow designed end to end.

04

Product Discovery Sprint

Works from a live product or a blank page.

from €4,500
3 weeks
Book a free intro call

30 minutes, no prep needed.

You walk away with
  • A diagnosis you can act on. What's holding the product back, what to fix first, and why
  • Your most critical flow fully designed, every state, with a prototype you can click through and test with users
  • A ranked list of what comes next
  • A handoff pack. Annotated Figma, a written spec your team, or your AI tools, can build from, and a handoff walkthrough

Design Partner Retainer

€2,500 /month

For when your product is out with real users, design questions never stop, and a full-time hire is still too early.

You walk away with design decisions, reviews, and single screens, most turned around in days.

Which one do you need?

"We need an MVP designed."

Product Discovery Sprint first. An MVP is several flows, and Discovery decides which one is critical and what can wait, then designs that one. Each next flow is its own Design Sprint, and on the call I'll tell you how many your MVP actually needs.

"We need a redesign."

Start with a Product & UX Audit. A redesign without a diagnosis just repaints the problem.

"I have an idea I want to build."

Product Discovery Sprint. It works from a live product or a blank page.

"We need one specific flow, say registration."

Design Sprint. Two weeks, that flow, done.

"We need a landing page. Or a website."

Landing Page Build. If you need more than one page, we talk it through on the call.

How it goes

How is this different from hiring a freelancer?

Start with a free call or an Audit. We agree on what matters most. I design it. Then whoever's building it, your developers or you with your AI tools, gets annotated Figma files and a written spec. I walk them through the handoff myself and stay reachable for questions about what I designed, so nothing gets lost between design and build. And when new design questions show up later, I stay on month to month. That's what the Retainer is for.

A freelancer executes your brief, so you still have to know exactly what to ask for. I start by telling you what's worth doing and why, then design it myself. And I don't vanish after handoff. The work comes in fixed boxes with prices on them, and if questions keep coming, the Retainer exists so you're not left holding it alone.

How I work

01

You work with me directly, start to finish.

02

I use AI every day. I've worked through every tool shift this industry had, Photoshop to Figma to AI. Tools change, judgment compounds.

03

Based in Barcelona, working with founders worldwide.

What I don't do

01

Brand identity and logos as standalone projects. I design how products work, not just how they look.

02

Development. I hand off designs, prototypes, and specs your team can build from. The one exception is a landing page, which I design and build myself.

03

Full-time embedded roles. That's a hire, not a practice.

About

Julia Slipenchuk

Two decades designing digital products across web, mobile, and TV. Six years leading product design at Filmin, the Barcelona streaming service. I joined as its first UX/UI designer, built the design function from zero, hired designers, killed features, shipped redesigns, and answered for the numbers afterwards. Before that, senior product designer at 21 Buttons, a fashion social app. I've lectured on design at Universitat de Barcelona and given interviews on design practice. If you want to see past work, I'd rather walk you through the decisions on a call than send a PDF.

Tell me about your product.
